Summary of the Graduation Present

A young man had admired a sports car and told his father that was all he wanted. On the morning of his graduation, his father handed him a Bible. The young man was angry and stormed out of the house. After many years, the young man was very successful in business but he had not seen his father since that graduation day. Before he could make arrangements, he received a telegram telling him his father had passed away. When he arrived at his father's house, he saw the Bible he had left it years ago. He opened the Bible and a car key dropped from the back of the Bible. It was the key of the sports car he had desired. On the tag was the date of his graduation.

Online music sale

Do you like music? Of course you do. Are you still going to the record shop to buy your records? If you are, you may not be for much longer.

According to recent figures, more than 62 million singles were sold or downloaded legally from the Internet in the UK in 2006. That figure is almost twice as much as the 32 million bought in 2004, and experts think it will continue to grow over the coming years. This reflects a global trend: digital music sales across the world almost doubled to around £1bn in 2006, according to an industry report. And last April US hip-hop duo Gnarls Barkley became the first act to reach number one with their song 'Crazy' purely through downloads.

However, the traditional single has not disappeared. 'You cannot write off traditional formats just yet', said Mr Jamieson, spokesman for the British Phonographic Industry - the BPI, the organisation responsible for music sales in the UK.

Since music download services began a couple of years ago, the British music industry has been quick to take advantage and is now beginning to feel the benefits. While the fight against illegal downloading continues, it seems the public have been happy to join the new legal services. You access the web page, choose the songs you want, type in your credit card details and you can download immediately.

The British public still enjoys buying records, however, according to the BPI. Rock groups such as Babyshambles, Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand have been extremely popular and helped make sales high.

With music you can buy in the shops and music you can download from the Internet, from Coldplay to Oasis, Gorillaz to Franz Ferdinand, British music is going from strength to strength!

My favorite comedy-Guess Who

My favorite comedy is "Guess Who". It was produced in 2005. This movie was about a black girl Theresa who brought her new boyfriend Simon Green home for her parents' 25th wedding anniversary. Theresa didn't mention that Simon is white before, so when they arrived at Theresa's home, Theresa's father Percy Jones thought the black taxi driver as Theresa's boyfriend and he even told Simon just to put the baggage in front of the door. After explanation, Percy Jones didn't like Simon, so he did everything he could to make Simon felt "apart" of the family.

I remember there was a humorous scene that Percy didn't want Simon to slept in their house so he drove Simon to the hotel. When they were in the car, Percy turned on the radio. It was played the song "Brother Louie" and its lyrics were "She was black as the night, Louie was whiter than white..." so Percy turned off the radio immediately. After many things were gone, Percy changed his points of vies. He realized that Simon really loved Theresa and he couldn't be so selfish, so he accepted Simon finally.

This movie is injected some racial problems about western-culture. We also can see how much the father treasured the daughter. Every father hopes their daughter can marry someone well-matched, so Percy’s behavior is generally normal. Simon is an important character; he was actually a victim in the movie because Percy tried to make Theresa misunderstood him, so he had to play up to Percy and maintained the relationship between him and Theresa.

This means that almost 57.4% of all foreign students are studying either engineering or business and management. This is followed by 12.4% studying mathematics and computer sciences and 7.7% studying social sciences.

Simon is an important character in this movie; the movie must have a white man so the story can be continued. Actually, I think Simon was a victim in the movie because Percy didn’t like Simon so he did some things to make Theresa misunderstood Simon, therefore, Simon needed to do so many things to make Percy liked him and he also had to protect the relationship between him and Theresa. After saw this movie, I can feel that love is the touchstone of virtue.
